Happy 4th of July from Aviation American Gin

What better way to entertain your guests on this holiday than to wow them with some fancy drinks made with AMERICAN GIN?! Below are some recipes we love.

Hint: For red use Campari bitter liqueur, for blue use Blue Curacao!

 Apple-Ginger-MuleFIX1

Apple Ginger Mule (Brooke Arthur)             

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 oz Aviation American Gin
  • 4 chunks Sweet apple
  • 3/4 oz Freshly pressed lime juice
  • 1 oz Simple syrup
  • 2 oz Ginger beer
Preparation
  1. In a pint glass, muddle the sweet apple chunks
  2. Add spirits & mixers (through simple syrup)
  3. Fill with ice & shake vigorously
  4. Fine strain into an ice filled collins glass
  5. Top with ginger beer
  6. Garnish with an apple slice

Watermelon-Cucumber-Cooler-3

 

Watermelon Cucumber Cooler

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 oz Aviation American Gin
  • 3/4 oz Freshly pressed lime juice
  • 2 slices Cucumber
  • 3 cubes Watermelon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 oz Simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz Soda water
Preparation
  1. In a pint glass, muddle the watermelon cubes, fine strain and reserve
  2. In a pint glass, muddle cucumber slices
  3. Add spirits & mixers (through simple syrup)
  4. Fill with ice & shake vigorously
  5. Fine strain into an ice filled collins glass
  6. Top with soda water
  7. Garnish with a cucumber slice

Cele-Berry-Punch-31

 

Cele-Berry Punch

Serves 8

Ingredients
  • 12 oz Aviation American Gin
  • 4 oz Cointreau
  • 6 oz Freshly pressed lemon juice
  • 24 Blueberries
  • 24 Blackberries
  • 8 Strawberries
  • 4 oz Simple syrup
  • 16 oz Soda water
Preparation
  1. In a large container muddle the berries
  2. Add spirits & mixers (through simple syrup)
  3. Mix well with a large spoon and fine strain into a separate container
  4. Cover and cool
  5. When ready to serve, pour punch over large block of ice* and add soda water
  6. Garnish with mixed berries and mint
  7. *To make ice; freeze water in an appropriate size tupperware container 24 hours in advance

Beers Knees

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 oz Aviation American Gin
  • 1 oz Freshly pressed lemon juice
  • 1 oz Honey syrup*
  • 3 oz Widmer Hefeweizen
Preparation
  1. In a pint glass, add spirits & mixers (through honey syrup)
  2. Fill with ice & shake vigorously
  3. Fine strain into a chilled collins glass with or without ice
  4. Top with Hefeweizen
  5. Garnish with a lemon wedge
  6. *To make honey syrup; combine equal parts honey to heated water and stir until honey is dissolved, let cool

*To make honey syrup: Combine equal portions of honey and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil until all the sugar has dissolved. Let cool.
